Second St.918-295-7748Food:Atmosphere:Service:(on a scale of 0 to 4 stars)Daily -- Breakfast 6:30-11 a.m., lunch 11 a.m.-4 p.m., dinner 4-11 p.m. (open till midnight Friday-Saturday); happy hour 4-7 p.m. Monday-Friday; accepts all major credit cards. We shared a spinach artichoke dip ($11.95) and a small Caesar salad ($9.75) before digging into our entrees -- rack of lamb ($35.95), blackberry pork chops ($24.50) and meatloaf ($16.75).Two two-rib lamb chops were stacked like a teepee in a pretty presentation with a mound of spinach mashed potatoes. The chops were ordered medium, came out looking rare and were terrific, on par with any lamb chops we ever have had.The pork chop was a tender, 14-ounce double-cut chop topped with Washington blackberry sauce and two huge blackberries. It came with red-skinned mashed potatoes and a sauteed mix of spinach, onions and mushrooms. The meatloaf mixed with mushrooms is a signature dish at Daily Grill. It had a nice texture and was covered in a tomato glaze and served with a slightly spicy Bordelaise sauce.SUSHI HOUSE1340 E. Kenosha St., Broken Arrow918-251-0112Food:Atmosphere:Service:(on a scale of 0 to 4 stars)11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday; accepts all major credit cards. We started with a round of sushi: Awesome roll ($7.95), super white tuna ($6.98) and regular tuna ($5.98, most likely yellowfin). The latter two were half orders (four pieces) for half price. The Awesome was just that迷你倉出租 salmon paired with cream cheese, avocado, cucumber and masago (fish eggs). The white tuna and regular tuna, both ordered as sashimi (raw), had fresh, clean flavors. The faintly pink, light white tuna seemed a bit more delicate than the redder regular tuna. Our main dishes included hibachi scallops ($17.90), hibachi chicken ($14.90) and steak and salmon ($20.90).The steak was a bit chewy but had a nice flavor. It was topped with sesame seeds, onions and carrots and garnished with orange slices. The flaky salmon was drizzled with a slightly sweet soy-based sauce.ROSEROCK CAFE4417 S. Mingo Road918-794-0522Food:Atmosphere:Service: order at counter(on a scale of 0 to 4 stars)10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sunday; accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover. The menu is compact but has enough options to offer a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups, not to mention the daily array of baked goodies. We put together a turkey and cheese sandwich ($6), and among a choice of four breads and seven cheeses (smoked Gouda and Gruyere are 50 cents extra) we selected sourdough bread and Gruyere cheese, as well as an add-on of avocado slices ($1).The sandwich was huge, thick with Metro Deli brand sliced turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado and mayo. The bread and other ingredients were fresh, making for an overall satisfying sandwich. We also had a chicken-salad sandwich ($5.75), and this was no small fry, either. It was loaded with a straight-forward chicken salad dotted with diced apples and included lettuce and sliced tomatoes.Copyright: ___ (c)2013 Tulsa World (Tulsa, Okla.)
