Jordanian app developers invited to participate in Ericsson contest

Source: Jordan Times, AmmanDec.儲存倉 20--AMMAN -- Jordanian students, developers and small- and medium-sized enterprises are invited to take part in the Ericsson Application Awards for 2014, according to the organisers.Those who have already created applications or have ideas for applications running on the iOS or Android operating systems are eligible to compete for the award, said an Ericsson statement e-mailed to The Jordan Times this week.The Swedish multi-national technology firm said it expects to receive several entries from across the Middle East.The competition's first prize is 25,000 euros, while the second prize is 10,000 euros and special recognition for innovation supporting Technology for Good, according to the statement.The third to 10th prizes include diplomas and honorary mentions.Companies wishing to take part in the competition should have less than 100 employees, the statement said.They should develop an application based on the Android or Apple iOS platform that addresses the theme of this year's award: "Apps for Working Life".Participants should submit a demo video迷你倉最平and a working prototype application by February 28, 2014.
